I gave your patch a shot and tried it on my t440p. unfortunately it didn't do anything. idle lower drain is still at 10-11 Watts (i74600, no discrete graphics, powertop --auto-tune, minimum display brightness, psr turned on, wlan and lan turned off). The 9 cell battery is sucked empty in 6 hrs idle. with Windows 7 I get 15 hrs! Bummer!
